With 2021 well underway, it’s time to check back in on those resolutions we set for ourselves at the start of the year. If like me, one of your goals was to focus on your health and fitness, you may be looking for some of that extra motivation you had at the start of 2021 to keep you on track. That’s why I’ve compiled a short list of some of the top Canadian female fitness YouTubers who are popular right now!
We’re starting off this list with my personal go-to fitness YouTuber, MadFit—AKA Maddie Lymburner. Based out of Hamilton, Ontario, Maddie started her fitness YouTube channel in March of 2018. Her goal with the channel was to create quick but effective workouts for people working out at home, which she undoubtedly achieved.
In just the last year as at-home workouts have risen in popularity due to the pandemic, Maddie’s fitness YouTube channel has reached five million subscribers and counting! There’s no question that her popularity stems from her easy-to-follow workout videos. Don’t let that fool you though; Maddie makes sure you get your sweat on with types of workouts for everyone. From full-body HIIT circuits to TikTok-inspired dance workouts, you’ll fall in love with her content just like I did (while secretly hating her for making your body hurt for days afterwards).
You can also find Maddie on Instagram as @madfit.ig!
Gabby is a Canadian fitness YouTuber who makes videos revolving around her everyday life and her love for fitness.
On her channel, which has nearly 400,000 subscribers, she posts real-time workout videos that viewers can watch and follow along. Gain strength, gain muscle, gain confidence is Gabby’s motto as she advocates for physical wellness through a protein-packed diet and strength-based workout plan. If you’re not one to shy away from building muscle, Gabby’s fitness guides are made for you!
If you want to follow Gabby on Instagram, you can find her on the platform as @gabbyschey.
The next person on our list is Keltie O’Connor, a Toronto-based fitness YouTuber. Coming from a sports background growing up, Keltie wanted to find a career that could support not only her love of fitness but video production. She relocated from Edmonton to Toronto in order to pursue her YouTube channel full-time; a move that clearly paid off!
Keltie’s channel skyrocketed back in 2018, now grown to over 310,000 subscribers, her videos oftentimes gaining millions of views. In these videos, she tests out celebrity diets and workout routines, providing her subscribers with fitness tips and tricks along the way. Her biggest piece of advice when it comes to working out and staying healthy is to always try new things—eventually, you’ll find something that you love. It’s easier to stick to a healthy lifestyle when you genuinely consider it enjoyable.

Linda Sun is another feel-good fitness YouTuber, encouraging her viewers to listen to their bodies and eat intuitively. Her channel promotes working out for the sake of how it makes you feel, not necessarily to achieve aesthetic results. Linda has lived all over Canada but is currently living in Ontario with her family where she attends school at Western University.
While Linda doesn’t post workouts that you can follow along with, the content she does post is all related to fitness, food, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you’re looking for a YouTube channel that will inspire you to do the same, Linda is your girl. With over 500,000 subscribers as of 2020, Linda has managed to create an uplifting community as they follow along on her health and fitness journey.
