Through our work, we believe in elevating our clients while also enriching our people and with that privilege, we believe it’s just as important to support our local and global community in any way we can.
For the last four years, through an internal initiative we’ve named #TIACares, we’ve organized various charity initiatives and made donations to organizations that are near and dear to our hearts, in hopes we can make a positive impact on the communities and people it serves. And this year is no different, in fact, the need to give back is greater than ever.
The pandemic has undoubtedly affected communities in ways we’ve never seen before, particularly in our own backyards which is why this year, with your support, we’ve decided to donate to the local charity, Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction. Despite all the uncertainty in the world, we hope that through this donation we can make the holiday season a little brighter for the children and families these local charities work to support.
#TIACares wouldn’t be possible without you – our clients and partners! It’s through your ongoing support that we’ve been able to make a difference this holiday season. On behalf of everyone on the TIA Team, thank you and all the best this year ahead.
Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction (TIHR) is an organization founded in response to the continual colonization and lack of available services for urban Indigenous populations, their work specifically focused on supporting those affected by the current overdose crisis. This includes providing assistance to Indigenous folks who are currently experiencing homelessness, with grassroots initiatives in place to provide traditional meals and winter encampment supplies to those who have to reside outside during the colder months.
At the root of their work, TIHR believes that harm reduction strategies are the best way to aid folks who are experiencing the negative consequences associated with substance abuse. This holiday season, TIA is supporting TIHR through a donation to help their efforts as well as hosting a coat drive on their behalf. To donate to our drive, please contact us.
