This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Jake Mossop! Not only is he a digital content creator, he’s also a Registered Nurse, TV Personality, Youtuber, and a co-producer and writer for CBC Life.
He’s one of the most multifaceted individuals we know and a force to be reckoned with. We sat down with him to chat about some of his favourite things so that you all can get to know him better.
Here’s what he had to say…
How did you get started as a creator?
J: I started as a social media creator after I met a few creators at events in 2016. I was just finishing a TV contract and decided that I would dedicate more time to engaging with my audience.
What’s your favourite part of being a creator?
J: Similar to my role as a nurse, I love connecting with people over social media and sharing certain aspects of my life with them. I love creating content that speaks to health, style and travel.
What’s your greatest achievement to date?
J: Co-producing and writing my own digital health series for CBC Life called Sexploration!
What’s the biggest item on your bucket list?
J: Travelling to Japan.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
J: I would move back to Paris, France. I lived there for six months in 2009 and fell in love …with the city.
If the 10 year old version of yourself met you, what would they think?
J: “You’re gay?!”
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
J: The best advice I’ve ever received is to never give up! That has stuck with me in all facets of my life, whether it be in my career or personal life.
Who’s your role model?
J: My role model still is my late Grandma, who we called Nanny. She was a smart, confident, and loving woman!
Favourite restaurant in the city?
J: At the moment, Sugo! Chef Connor is the best!
Favourite brand?
J: Saint Laurent– hands down.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
J: It would most definitely be Aaliyah.

In the world of paid media, what works and what doesn’t? You’ll have to run A/B tests to find out! Whether you’re testing which keywords bring more traffic or which social platforms earn more ad engagement, you won’t find out what really works for your brand until you test it.
Revisit your initial goals. Did your efforts bring about the results you expected? Tracking results is an essential step in your brand’s paid advertising campaigns. The data you collect from currently running ads will help lay the foundation for your future campaigns.
After tracking your results, you’ll be able to see where adjustments are necessary. There’s always room for improvement, so keep striving to consistently resonate and build trust with your audience—it’s how to create paid ads that pay off.
