I had the amazing opportunity to fly to Las Vegas to shoot the festivals alongside our Multimedia Coordinator, Eliza Mehr. Take a look at our five-day experience at Exodus and Desert Drip to discover all that you can look forward to. We’ve got you covered with all the details and essential tips!

When: May 26, 2022
Where: MGM Hotel, TAO Beach Dayclub, and Hakkasan Vegas
Who: Eric D-Lux and NGHTMRE
After arriving at Las Vegas’ next-level airport, we went straight to MGM Grand Hotel where we had a super seamless check-in process. The hotel alone was brimming with restaurants and clubs—you’ll instantly notice how everything was alive on the Strip.
We kicked off our Exodus and Desert Drip adventures at 1:00 AM by partying with Eric Dlux at TAO Beach Dayclub.
Then, we dropped by Hakkasan Vegas at 1:00 AM to catch NGHTMRE’s show filled with top 40 tracks, hip-hop, pop, and remixes. Thanks to our spot close to the DJ booth, we captured incredible photos and videos.
When: May 27, 2022
Where: TAO Beach Dayclub and Hakkasan Vegas
Who: Loud Luxury and Tyga
On the second day, we caught Loud Luxury’s 3:00 PM show at TAO Beach Dayclub. This time around, we got better DJ booth access right behind the performers, where we felt the energy on a whole other level. Not only did they supply the crowds with an epic mixture of different music, but they also engaged with audiences by giving autographs and introducing themselves to us. This Canadian DJ duo is as friendly as they are talented!
Because we were checked in at MGM Grand Hotel, which is exactly where Hakkasan is located, prepping for Tyga’s show at 1:00 AM show was incredibly convenient. When he performed “Rack City” and “Bedrock,” our middle school hearts were screaming.
When: May 28, 2022
Where: Liquid Las Vegas, OMNIA Nightclub, and JEWEL Nightclub
Who: DJ Drama, Above and Beyond, and Pusha T
On day three, we went all out and decided to attend three events!
First up, we had DJ Drama’s Liquid Las Vegas show, where he lit up the pool party with mixes of hip-hop and rap music at 3:00 PM. This venue was more carefree than a nightclub—and there was a bit more diversity and representation in the crowd that was there to enjoy the music.
By the time it was 1:00 AM, we partied at OMNIA Nightclub with Above and Beyond. We were blown away by how beautiful the lights were at the show, but because it was quite dark and smoky, it was harder to film.
Capping off our festival adventure for the day was Pusha T’s set at JEWEL Nightclub. With the diverse crowd, throwback music, and his new album tracks, we were able to get the ultimate concert experience.

Where: WET Republic Ultra Pool and OMNIA Nightclub
Who: Kaskade and Steve Aoki
At 3:00 PM, the Wet Republic Ultra Pool venue was filled with Kaskade’s beats. Pool parties in Vegas really seem to hit different—there was so much fun going on and we captured it all on video!
When the clock struck 1:00 AM, it was time to party with Steve Aoki at OMNIA Nightclub. No cap—the security personnel were our friends by now and escorted us in like true VIPs! You guessed it; the crowd went wild when Steve took the stage. There were lights everywhere, and the audience was jumping up and down non-stop.

Where: WET Republic Ultra Pool
Who: Lil Jon
We ended our Exodus and Desert Drip adventure with a bang by making friends on the last day and having loads of fun. Lil Jon energized the 3:00 PM WET Republic Ultra Pool party with his fun vibes and exhilarating music.
Right after, we had an amazing lunch on the Strip. Then, it was time to go back to the hotel, pack our stuff, and head to the airport. (Byeee, Las Vegas! Can’t wait to see you next time <3)
With so many icons in the EDM scene taking the Exodus and Desert Drip stages at the same time across different venues, it can be challenging to decide on which specific parties to attend. Because it’s not realistic to attend every single show, be sure to plan accordingly so you can see your top picks of the day!
But, if you have a hard time choosing then you have to get an Exodus and Desert Drip Super Pass and attend both festivals for one low price! It’s the best way to party like a real Vegas VIP and get the best of both worlds. Definitely do not pass up this good deal!
You may be in Sin City, but there’s definitely one sin you shouldn’t commit: tardiness. Remember to follow cut-off times for entry, as they aren’t lenient when it comes to this. Just be there for your call time, and you’ll be good to party.
Trust us when we say that there’s going to be a lot of walking as you hop from one premier club to another on the Strip—so remember to wear shoes that can put up with this. Aside from that, here are some of our top style tips…
Dress for the weather: We attended the festival in May, so it was super hot. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen and shades. Also, avoid wearing too much black because you’ll overheat.
Dress to express: Make sure you follow the venue dress code. Most clubs don’t allow ripped jeans, overly baggy clothes, and work boots. Looking presentable is essential!
At nightclubs, we highly suggest wearing dresses/skirts/shorts instead of jeans because of how hot the weather can get.
YES! People do swim at the day parties, and the pools get quite full.
Dress code: At pool parties, people don’t go for the basic bikini and shorts but more elevated looks with jewelry, cover-ups, etc.
