We consistently produce high-quality, engaging content—which is probably why you want to post on our site in the first place. As a thought leader in the marketing industry, we post about topics ranging from social media marketing to design tips to how to craft the perfect blog post.

With thousands of visitors to our blog every month, you’ll be able to share your own industry insights with an audience ready to learn. And that doesn’t take our social networks into consideration! Your post will be shared on our social feeds with the TIA community, which includes more than 17,000 followers across our channels.

Guest Post Format

Word Count

Your blog post should be between 800 and 2000 words. You want to strike a balance between being detailed and informative, while also remaining concise. Use clear language to write compelling content that our readers will love.

Layout

No one likes to click on a link only to be greeted with a giant wall of text. Break up your paragraphs with headings to help the flow of your post and keep readers engaged.

Headlines

Shareable headlines are key. Hook readers’ attention with a short and catchy headline that clearly shows what your guest post is about.

Imagery

Make sure you include visually-compelling images and other media between the paragraphs of your post that are relevant to your topic.

  • Feature image: 1800px * 836px
  • Body images: 1500px * 662px

Please ensure your attached images are compressed beforehand using an online service like TinyPNG. Reducing image size helps to keep from slowing down our website.

Always use Creative Commons Licensed resources and copyright-safe images, or photos you have taken yourself.

Linking

At the end of your guest post, you will be given a 50-word bio where you may include one (1) link back to the homepage of your website. The article itself should contain a good balance of internal links and links to credible external sources. If including statistics or data, please be sure to link to the source. A contextual link to your website may be considered in the body of the article, only if it fits within the context of your post to enhance the narrative you are sharing.

Search Engine Optimization

The perfectly optimized page includes a title tag, keyword-rich URL, and meta description. Each of your images should include alternative text for accessibility purposes and Google indexing. Overt keyword-stuffed posts won’t be published.

The Submission Process

1. Send Us Your Pitch

Fill out the form below, providing a brief summary of your topic as well as a link to the completed post in Google Docs. We will use Copyscape and Google to ensure your content is unique.

2. Approvals & Edits

We just want to make sure your idea aligns with our blog and speaks to our audience. There should be no spelling or grammar errors. We will read it over one (1) time and send it back to you for one (1) round of edits. Follow the guidelines listed above. If your post requires too many edits, we will kindly recommend you publish elsewhere.

3. Your Post Is Published

If you’ve properly written, edited, and formatted your post, you will become an official guest writer for The Influence Agency’s blog! Sign up for a Gravatar account and send us the email you have connected with Gravatar and you will receive a contributor profile on our site. Once your guest post is published, we’ll share it across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
